Kurt Vogt
Kurt Vogt is the Managing Director of HPL.LLC.
He has over 30 years of banking experience and has held managerial positions in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Monterrey, and New York.
Kurt was Head of Corporate Banking in Latin America at Citi from 2004 to 2010, supervising teams in 15 countries. Prior, he was the Head of Derivatives Sales and Structuring, where he accelerated the growth of the corporate and investor risk management business in the region. Additionally, Kurt led the Sustainable Finance Group for HSBC in Latin America and positioned the bank as a lead placement agent for green, social and sustainable bonds.
Kurt recently joined the Board of Directors of the LAGREEN Lux SICAV Fund, whose objective is to support the growth of the green bond market in Latin America.
In 2017, Kurt formed HPL.LLC, a sustainable finance advisory firm focused on institutional clients.
He is a board member for Norwalk Grassroots Tennis and Education, an organization that builds strength of character and a foundation for success for underserved youth through tennis and education. He is also a member of the advisory board of Birdlife International, an organization in 120 countries striving to conserve birds, their habitats, and global biodiversity.
Kurt received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana (1984), an MBA from Harvard Business School (1987), and an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University (2017).
He is fluent in English, Spanish, and German.

María Teresa Grez
María Teresa Grez is a Consultant at HPL.LLC.
She is a sustainability professional with experience in Sustainable Finance, Responsible Investing and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration.
While working at HPL, María Teresa has led 10 and supported 20 projects in Latin America and the Caribbean on: thematic bond advisory, thematic bond market development, green bond impact reporting, and green financial markets development.
Before joining HPL.LLC, she worked in private equity and impact investing.
María Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and environmental sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University (2017).
María Teresa is fluent in English and Spanish.

Yvonne Alexandra Vogt
Yvonne Vogt is a Consultant at HPL.LLC
She is a sustainability professional with experience in energy systems and policies, ESG ratings, and sustainable finance advisory.
While working at HPL, Yvonne has led 10 and supported 12 consulting engagements for development bank, commercial bank, corporate, and government clients in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia.
Before joining HPL.LLC, she worked for three years at EcoVadis, a global sustainability ratings firm, consulting clients on their CSR practices.
Yvonne holds a B.A. in Sustainable Development with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Columbia University and an M.S. in Energy for Sustainability with a specialization in Renewable Energy Systems and Policies from the University of Coimbra.
Yvonne is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Valeria Cantú
Valeria Cantú is a Consultant at HPL.LLC.
Valeria is an economist with experience in sustainable finance, sustainable development, and social entrepreneurship.
At HPL, she has led 6 and supported 14 consulting projects ranging from thematic bond advisory, development, and guidance.
She holds a B.A. in Economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey and an M.P.A. in Economic and Political Development with specializations in Management and Data Analysis from Columbia University.
Before her master’s, she brings experience as a Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Deputy Director of International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance in Mexico.
Valeria is fluent in Spanish, English, and intermediate in French.

Isabel Montojo
Isabel Montojo is a Consultant at HPL.LLC.
Isabel is an attorney with professional experience in corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, and sustainable finance advisory for the private and public sectors.
At HPL, she has held managing roles in 9 projects and supporting positions in 15 assignments in Latin America, the Caribbean, and other emerging regions.
Isabel holds an LL.B from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an LL.M. in International Law and Justice cum laude with a focus on corporate sustainability and human rights from Fordham University School of Law.
Her previous experience was at the United Nations Global Compact, the sustainability department of a multinational group in the tourism industry, as well as multiple years in regulatory compliance in the U.S. and civil litigation in Spain.
Isabel is fluent in Spanish and English.

Pedro Paniagua
Pedro Paniagua is an Associate at HPL.LLC.
Pedro is an electrical engineering professional with experience in energy efficiency and risk analysis.
In HPL, Pedro has supported 9 consulting projects related to the development and structuring of thematic bonds, with a focus on sovereign bonds.
He holds a B.Sc. in Electric and Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) with a focus on energy systems, an M.Sc. in Finance and an MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
Pedro has four years of experience in development, assessment, and analysis of advanced technology projects for the banking sector and one year of experience in the private debt sector. Pedro managed energy efficiency projects and redundant power supply systems for Banco de México’s data centers and was part of a team for a new institutional data center design. In the private debt sector, he was a credit risk analyst where he analyzed the financial behavior of a senior debt portfolio with more than 50 SMEs companies in Latin America.
Pedro is fluent in Spanish and English.

Daniela Canevaro
Daniela Canevaro is an Associate at HPL.
Daniela is an economist with expertise in development, impact investing, and sustainable finance.
In HPL, she has supported in 5 consulting projects related to the development and structuring of thematic bonds in Latin America and the Caribbean and Asia.
She holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés, Argentina, a M.S. in Economics from Universidad del CEMA and a specialization in Sustainability and Social Inclusion for the private sector at Universidad Di Tella.
Before joining HPL, Daniela worked as an economist at IDB Invest (IDB Group) in the structuring, monitoring and evaluation of ESG projects. Previously, she supported the strategic projects for Banco Ciudad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coordinating initiatives like Green Finance, Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion.
Daniela is fluent in Spanish, English and intermediate in Portuguese.

Alice Balbé
Alice Balbé is an Associate at HPL.
Alice is a Communication Sciences professional with expertise in research on environmental communication, emphasizing communication about climate change and social network analysis.
In HPL, she has supported 3 consultancy projects of structuring thematic bonds for financial institutions in Brazil.
She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho (Portugal) and a MA in Communication Sciences in the research field of Information and Journalism from the same university. She also holds a BA in Social Communication – Journalism (Brazil).
Alice has experience as a Post-Doc Researcher in an international project, organized the publication of a book, edited two scientific journals, published several scientific papers, participated in the proposing team of a funded scientific project, organized events and presented communication at dozens of international scientific conferences.
Alice is fluent in Portuguese, advanced in English and beginner in Spanish.

Natalia Velázquez
Natalia Velázquez is an Analyst at HPL.
Natalia has graduated from a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
In HPL, she has supported 11 consultancy projects related to the development and structuring of thematic bonds for development banks, commercial banks, and corporates in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining HPL, Natalia did an internship at Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales (COMEXI). Subsequently, she worked on a project to “Support Transparency, Integrity and Citizen Participation for Sustainable Development” at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mexico, where she developed experience in the implementation of the sustainable development approach presented by the 2030 Agenda and in open government.
She is fluent in Spanish, English and intermediate in French.

Sofía Saldívar
Sofía Saldívar is an Analyst at HPL.
Sofía has a degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM)
Before joining HPL, she worked as an intern at the General Directorate of American Regional Organizations and Mechanisms of the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE). Subsequently, she joined the North American Unit of the SRE as an intern where she participated in the organization of the X North American Leaders Summit (NALS).
She is fluent in Spanish, English and intermediate in French.

Brenda Aguilar
Brenda Aguilar is an Analyst at HPL.
Brenda holds a degree in Law from the Law School of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and is a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM).
Prior to joining HPL, Brenda worked for a year in the Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de Mexico and for three and a half years in the Treasury and Accounting Departments of ITAM, where she developed expertise in accounting, tax and financial issues applicable to domestic and foreign suppliers.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
